About Course
This course explores the interplay between culture, heritage, and tourism, with an emphasis on sustainable development and the preservation of cultural identity. Students examine how cultural and heritage resources—including traditions, historic sites, festivals, and indigenous practices—are marketed and interpreted for tourism. The course highlights issues such as authenticity, cultural commodification, ethics, and stakeholder engagement, especially in vulnerable or marginalized communities.
